When new episodes drop on Netflix, Apple TV, HBO Max, Hulu, Peacock, Prime Video, Disney+ and Paramount+
US times, from each service's own help pages and schedules, checked . Examples are for October 2026.
Most services have a usual time, a few don't publish one at all, and every one of them has exceptions. Here's what each service says, in its own words where it says anything.

Netflix
Netflix says its original shows and movies are “typically released globally at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time”, which is 3 a.m. Eastern.
Exceptions
- Shows that aren't Netflix originals in the US arrive at 12 a.m. local time, and weekly ones can follow their original broadcast.
- When a title has a set launch time, Netflix shows it in Coming Soon and on the title's page.
- Live shows stream at their airtime, in the evening.
This month
- Love Is Blind season 11: Wednesday, Oct 14, then Wednesdays Oct 21 and 28 and Nov 4, at 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT.

Apple TV
Apple announces a date for each episode, not a time. In the US, recent weekly episodes have appeared the evening before that date, at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET. That's press reporting (TechRadar), not something Apple states.
Exceptions
- Some shows aren't available in every country, but that's about where, not when.
This month
- Small Prophets season 1: two episodes Wednesday, Oct 7, then Wednesdays through Nov 4 (Apple’s dates).
- Nocturne: two episodes Friday, Oct 30, then Fridays (Apple’s dates).

HBO Max
HBO Max says “most new HBO shows and movies are available on HBO Max when they premiere on HBO”. HBO's premieres are usually at 9 p.m. ET (6 p.m. PT), and HBO Max originals announce evening times too.
Exceptions
- Some shows are added after they air, “typically within 24 hours”. HBO Max's estimates: Last Week Tonight on Mondays at 2 a.m. ET, Real Time on Saturdays at 7 a.m. ET.
- Live HBO programs are usually up within 24 hours of the broadcast.
- Now and then HBO Max posts an episode early, at 3 a.m. ET, ahead of the HBO airing.
This month
- WAR: premiered Thursday, Oct 1, 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and HBO Max, then Thursdays.
- The Pet Cemetery Murders: A Ghost Story: Sunday, Oct 11, 9 p.m., then Sundays.

Hulu
Current ABC episodes stream on Hulu “the day after they air” (“Wednesday night on ABC = Thursday on Hulu”), and FX episodes arrive the day after too. Hulu doesn't give one hour for all of them: its help center says FX episodes are up “by 5:01 a.m. ET the day after”, while Disney's October schedule lists some FX episodes at 9 p.m. PT. Check the show's page in the app.
Exceptions
- Some Hulu premieres are set for the evening, for example 6 p.m. PT.
- To watch ABC live, you need Hulu + Live TV.
This month
- Abbott Elementary season 6: ABC on Wednesday, Oct 7; Hulu on Thursday, Oct 8.
- The Lowdown season 2: two episodes Wednesday, Oct 14, at 6 p.m. PT.

Peacock
Peacock says “all NBC shows will be available to stream on Peacock the next day”, without an hour. For its own shows it publishes times one show at a time: Love Island USA, for instance, streamed new episodes at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET. Shows released all at once are listed by date only.
Exceptions
- Saturday Night Live streams live on Peacock as it airs on NBC.
This month
- Law & Order: SVU season 28 and Law & Order season 26: NBC on Thursday, Oct 8; Peacock the next day.
- Crystal Lake: all eight episodes Thursday, Oct 15 (no time published).

Prime Video
Amazon doesn't publish a standard release time; its announcements give dates. Some premieres are announced for the evening instead: Fallout season 2, for example, was set for 6 p.m. PT.
Exceptions
- Live sports, like Thursday Night Football, stream at game time.
This month
- Carrie: all eight episodes Wednesday, Oct 7.
- The Terminal List season 2: all eight episodes Wednesday, Oct 21.

Disney+
Disney+ launched with “most new episodes” premiering at 12:01 a.m. PT, and recent premieres are still announced at 12 a.m. PT / 3 a.m. ET. But its monthly schedules now list some Marvel series at 6 p.m. PT (9 p.m. ET).
Exceptions
- Freeform and ABC shows arrive on Disney+ (and Hulu) the next day.
- Hulu shows inside Disney+ follow Hulu's schedule.
This month
- Coven Academy: Freeform on Thursday, Oct 1; the full season on Disney+ and Hulu on Friday, Oct 2.

Paramount+
CBS episodes “can be streamed on demand the day after they air” on any Paramount+ plan, and live as they air on CBS with the Premium plan. Paramount+ doesn't publish a standard time for its own shows; it announces dates.

- Some originals are on the Premium plan only.
This month
- Avatar: Seven Havens, Book 1: three episodes Friday, Oct 9, then Fridays Oct 16, 23 and 30.
- Tulsa King season 4: Friday, Oct 16, then weekly.

A next-day release means a day of dodging spoilers. The spoiler guide shows how to mute a show on X, TikTok and Instagram, and what YouTube and Reddit can't do. For a live show like Dancing with the Stars, the results are out before the next-day episode is.
